Born in Sheffield, James is a hugely experienced presenter who adds his own northern charm and warmth to every role. Television is in his blood and his brother, Richard, is one half of successful TV duo “Dick and Dom!”
James recently presented 5 series of Wednesday and Saturday’s National Lottery Draws on BBC1 and is the weekly host of the Euromillions lottery draw, every Friday. James very much enjoys the live studio environment but is just as comfortable out on location.
James also presents “Cool in Your Code“ a series of pod-casts for the Times Online where he reveals everything that’s new and undiscovered in your very own postcode.
He has had numerous television production meetings in the U.S and has just filmed a special for the TV Guide Network.
James has a passion for travel and enjoys presenting weekly for Thomson TV and The Overseas Property Channel. He also gets to visit some of his favourite destinations and has reported from countries around the world.
He presented Glory Ball on Challenge, fronted Hot Wired a factual programme for Channel 4, was a guest presenter on Shake for Five and hosted the Write Here Write Now awards three years running.
James is a regular contributor to shows including Celebrity Ready steady Cook (BBC2), Big Brother’s Big Mouth (E4) and 101 Favourite stars- way back when (E! entertainment UK)
James passed his A’ levels before joining a pop band and then landing his first presenting role at The Disney Channel hosting live events like The Disney Kid’s Awards at the London Arena which was shown on both Disney and Sky One, he also presented a science show called Fabrik.
He has been involved in radio, presenting an exciting entertainment show for BBC Radio Sheffield. He was the voice of “Up” a daily morning television show, and Disney continuity, which gained him valuable experience in voiceover work.
James’ other interests include buying, selling and renovating houses as well as singing. He is also an experienced performer having trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and likes to combine acting with television wherever possible.
James’ undoubted talent as an extremely confident, mature, enthusiastic and natural presenter has given him ability to progress and appeal to a mass audience.
