Sixty years ago the CIA didn’t exist, but today it’s one of the most powerful organisations in the world. With an estimated 5 billion dollar budget and twenty five thousand people working for it, the CIA has more money and power than most developing countries.

Over the years the CIA has supported Augusto Pinochet and Saddam Hussein, it’s destabilised governments and countries, supported genocidal regimes and turned a blind eye to Drug Trafficking. All to follow its goal of protecting American Interests.

Conspiracy theorists blame the CIA for everything from assassinating JFK to faking the moon landings but in this one off two-hour special Danny Wallace ignores the fiction and concentrates on the facts as he takes a look through some of the most secret, sensitive and downright scandalous case files of the Central Intelligence Agency.
